So You're Engaged!!!
The first thing every Bridal Couple should do is announce their engagement to their friends and family. If the couple is traditional, the groom-to-be has probably already asked his new father-in-law for his daughters hand. So the brides parents already know. The best way to tell your families about your engagement is in person if at all possible. Some ideas would include hosting a lunch with both sets of parents or giving them a phone call together to announce the news. The parents should ALWAYS be the first to know about the engagement. Once they both know then it would continue on to grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, other family and friends.
